A very rare front-wheel-drive Civic Wagovan, found in Colorado.

The Wagovan name came and went on the US-market Civic wagons of the 1984-1991 period.

Sold in Colorado, will be crushed in Colorado.

Full gauges plus a rear defroster.

This color was known as Superior Blue Metallic.

The interior was dirty but not so shredded when it arrived at this place.

Junkyard shoppers have made off with the door panels and steering wheel.

I bought that A/C switch for a future junkyard-parts boombox.

A five-speed manual was the base transmission on the FWD 1988 Wagovan (the cheapest Civic models got a four-on-the-floor), while the 4WD Wagovan got a six-speed manual that year.

Don't get too excited about a six-speed way back in 1988, though— first gear had a super-low ratio for snow and mud, so it wasn't like later high-performance six-speeds. This five-speed worked fine.

This is a SOHC straight-four, displacing 1.5 liters and rated at 92 horsepower. The 4WD Wagovan got a 1.6 rated at 105 horses.
