Customisation and mounting points aplenty on the new All-Packa
This competition is now closed
Bike Friday has unveiled a wacky folding gravel bike designed for bikepacking, called the All-Packa.
Said to fit riders from 4ft 6in upwards, the All-Packa features 20in wheels and is claimed to “fold into a standard suitcase for travel”. A folding gravel bike could be an interesting proposition for frequent travellers who want to avoid oversize baggage fees.
The folding bike is claimed to fold in 30 seconds to dimensions of 32x24x12in.
The bike retails for $2,495, or $1,420 as a ‘frame kit’. A frame-only option was not available at the time of writing.
The All-Packa features what the brand calls an ‘Altbar’ handlebar to allow for multiple hand positions. It has extensions from the tops and sweeps back at the ends. This is said to be Bike Friday’s own design and it splits in half for folding ease.
The frame offers clearance for up to 2.4in tyres and is chock-full of mounts for bikepacking bags.
The bike is built around a standard 68mm threaded bottom bracket.
The build kit can be customised via Bike Friday’s website and the kits are assembled in the brand’s Oregon, USA facility.
Bike Friday offers the bike with either 1×9 or 2×9 drivetrains.
You can add electrical assistance using a LiGo front-hub motor.
You can customise the paint scheme if none of the plethora of Bike Friday’s options suit you.
An ‘All Terrain’ package is available as a further upgrade for $350.
This sees the stock mechanical disc brakes replaced by a semi-hydraulic system, all of the bearings switched for sealed units, an upgraded crankset and tubeless-compatible rims.
